This is Wayne Shorter's 10th album as a leader, recorded in 1966. Following his fourth album, "Night Dreamer," released in 1964, his musicality became increasingly apparent, and this album was released on the Blue Note label. Around the same time, Shorter became a member of the Miles Davis Quintet.
This quintet, which released numerous masterpieces that revolutionized modern jazz, was already at the forefront of the music scene.
