This is a pair 1920s Art Deco / Art Nouveau Japanese inspired bookends. Appears to be engraved and painted brass plate on the front and well as the feet. Two red and gold birds perched on a tree. The bottom has the original felt. Has original Grammers sticker and the bottom foot of one has Grammers engraved.
The colors are silver, gold, black lacquer, and deep red lacquer which has lost some of its sheen. I have cleaned them up a bit, but don’t want to scrub them because of the paint.
This is an antique item and shows wear. See pictures.
Can go with eclectic, vintage, boho decor.
Measures approximately 5” H x 5”W
Top is 1.5” and total width including feet of one 4”
