This is an original catalog for the LUX integrated amplifier L-68A "Duobeta plus-x," published in December 1980.

The L-68A was a model characterized by a high degree of purity in its design, based on LUX's philosophy of "consistent elimination of excess" at the time. It thoroughly stripped away unnecessary circuits, decorations, and functions, leaving only "the essential elements for reproducing sound." This amplifier was designed to focus on its primary role, aiming to accurately portray the atmosphere, sound positioning, and texture of the sound source, embodying the company's core philosophy.

The Duobeta plus-x system incorporated was an advanced form of NFB (negative feedback) technology, which LUX was proud of at the time. It enabled stable amplification across the entire frequency range and extremely natural sound field reproduction. The circuit configuration, which did not perform excessive correction and did not stress the signal, was particularly favored by fans of classical, jazz, and acoustic sources. Its transparent mid-high range and stable low range were highly praised as "sound that doesn't cause listening fatigue."

This catalog carefully summarizes the internal configuration diagrams, circuit concepts, explanations of the components used, and LUX's sound creation philosophy at the time. The photos and layout have a calm design typical of LUX in the 1980s, making it a visually enjoyable document for vintage amplifier fans.

Currently, the L-68A itself is rare in the used market, and the original catalog is even more difficult to obtain. It is a valuable item not only as a research material but also as a collection piece or interior decoration.

Highly recommended for vintage audio enthusiasts, LUX fans, and those researching 1980s Japanese high-fidelity equipment.

Around 1980, I was a well-known audio enthusiast in the field.
I went to Nihonbashi every week and collected and organized all the audio catalogs.
I have kept them carefully for 40 years, but I am now exhibiting the catalogs from my collection due to the organization of my family home.
Please understand that as these catalogs are about 40 years old, there may be some scratches and stains.
