McCartney was the debut solo studio album by Paul McCartney. It was released in 1970 by Apple Records. McCartney recorded it in secrecy, mostly using basic home-recording equipment at his house in St John's Wood. Apart from occasional vocal contributions by his wife, Linda, McCartney performed the entire album alone by overdubbing on four-track tape. There's some brilliant tracks including Maybe I'm Amazed. The record has some surface marks and plays with some crackles in places but it's still a fantastic listen throughout. The gatefold cover has some handling marks but overall it's very good.
